What are your top 3 achievements?
Whenever I think of achievements the first thing that pops into my mind are my three children, Victoria, Valeri and Vincent. They are also the beat of my heart and my everything.
What’s your current profession?
I am a national mind-body expert, master trainer and presenter, author, wellness coach and a spokeswoman for helping others create individual and business well-being. I am also the CEO and founder of SheNetics®, a doctor endorsed revolutionary wellness and exercise lifestyle practice that blends Eastern and Western values and movements for a powerful mind-body experience. I am committed to providing the practical means for us all to achieve the exceptional benefits that flow from uniting the Mind, Body and Heart to work as one. SheaNetics®, my signature lifestyle practice, combined with frequent national and local media appearances and conference presentations has encouraged a loyal following and recognition as a leader and influential personal and corporate spokesperson in the health and wellness industry.
What kind of philanthropic/fundraising work have you done?
I mostly divide my charitable efforts to raise awareness and funds to champion a cure for cystic fibrosis and breast cancer.
What are your favorite platforms or which charitable organizations you admire most?
I have a stepson Danny with whom I am very close and who has cystic fibrosis which significantly effects his lung functioning. He has shown remarkable fortitude, perseverance and conscientiousness in taking care of himself and trying to give back to others by founding his own Fight Forever Foundation to fund a cure for cystic fibrosis.
Do you have any interest in politics?
I have an interest in politics to the extent that I listen to the news and try to follow the issues impacting our economy. I hope we can turn around the economy and provide jobs for those who need to take care of themselves and their families. I believe we all have a concern for our children and grandchildren and want to see a healthier economy that will give rise to greater opportunities for all.
What’s your dream job?
I am living the dream right now…the opportunity to positively influence others and provide a practical guide for them to create their own state of well-being.
Who is your favorite role model?
Without question my mother was my greatest role model. She raised my sister, brother and me without any financial help from my father and did it without complaining or saying, “Why me?”. She set great examples and made so many positive choices that we learned at an early age to be independent and that love takes care of the rest.
Ten years from now where do you see yourself?
I want to see my self enjoying my family. See my family healthy, happy and pursuing their dreams. Being active and giving back, providing inspiration to others so they can live the life they want and writing a few more books with valued content.
Tell us about your educational background?
I began my career in health and wellness as a dancer and teacher and later broadened her scope as a fitness professional and personal trainer with an impressive resume of programs and specialist certifications which include yoga, pilates matt and reformer, GYROKENESIS®, AFFA, Zumba®, Bosu®, BodypumpTM, BodystepTM, PTA Global, Spinning®, AEA, Cycle, and Kick Boxing which are further enhanced by NASM Board Certifications as a CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist) and PES (Performance Enhancing Specialist) and an Associate Degree in Applied Science.
Tell us more about your family, with whom you are closest?
I am the happy and proud grandmother offive. My Victoria has three youngsters, Dexter and Stella. Valeri has two daughters, Veronica and Vivianna and Vince has a new toddler, Locklyn. My three children all work together and the first four kids all go to school together. I am equally close to all my children and I am beyond blessed to have this amazing family that loves and supports each other.
What kind of modeling/spokesperson projects have you done?
I still do fashion modeling on the runway and for TV and print media as well as acting as host for similar events. Most recently I was MC for two fashion/charity events for exciting Chicago designers, the Oscar winning Borris Powell and Horatio Nieto. It is so much fun to work with such visionary and gifted professionals. And I love getting to wear their outfits.
